Fire Technology I provides an introduction to fire protection; career opportunities in fire protection and related fields; fire service nomenclature; basic fire chemistry and physics; introduction to fire protection systems, fire strategy and tactics. This course also covers fire service basic topics in the classroom and manipulative training for skills maintenance.
Fire Technology II will discuss the study and application of emergency medical skills and procedures, including basic anatomy and physiology, terminology, and prevention of disease transmission for CPR certification from the American Heart Association. This course also involves manipulative training and preparation for the North County Regional Fire Physical Ability test. Fire Technology I is a prerequisite.
